11\/28\/2019 Thanksgiving Day<\/p>\n
My one and only commentary this month comes appropriately on Thanksgiving Day. It is not exactly a commentary but commendation to all those ancient masters whose voices from antiquity speak and touch me deeply. It is their voices, their observances of which I read, absorb and comment on throughout the year. Therefore, I am most thankful to Laozi, Zhuangzi and those very ancient ones that came long before them who looked at the configurations of the Heavens and read their Signs and observed our Earth and uncovered its Patterns. Thus they came to understand the axiom of Life and Death and passed it along to the sages who succeeded them.<\/p>\n
And I, too, would like to pass along my heartfelt thoughts to all of you as I wish you and all humanity (yes, including the President) a Happy and Joyous Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n

\nin a damp and gloomy rain.
\nThen stillness
\nMoments later, two crows come together
\nand fly off in unison over the valley.<\/p>\n
\nthen a sudden wind jolts them back and forth.
\nMoments later, they return to stillness,
\nas thought never disturbed.<\/p>\n
\nResting in stillness and never moving
\nuntil inspired by “THE CHANGES”
\nin the flow of the Tao,
\nand always returning to stillness.<\/p>\n
\nbut rests in stillness.
\nFor in waiting there is anticipation.
\nBut in resting, there is a joyous stillness,
\nundisturbed by the machinations of an egoic will.<\/p>\n
\nNot of knowledge,
\nbut of a deep inner trust.
\nOnly a restful heart-mind at peace
\ncan sense the subtle fluctuations
\nin the flow of the Tao
\nIn that inner trust there is virtue and power.<\/p>\n
